¡Viva la Fiesta! has returned to Six Flags Fiesta Texas on select dates now through May 4. This year's event sees a refresh on food offerings, which highlights boysenberry items from Knott's Berry Farm and additional sweets. New entertainment, such as Sonido 7 in Texas State Square and Rockville Beach Party, make their debut alongside returning favorites. Six Flags Fiesta Texas continues their focus on dining-related upgrades with another phase of changes coming to Sangerfest Halle. Soon enough, Sangerfest Halle's serving area will reopen with a new kitchen, refill stations and menu offerings. The change will also open up the dining area to additional seating. Pete's Eats recently underwent renovations and has reopened. Six new drink refill stations are also scheduled to open this season. Six Flags Fiesta Texas is joining in the celebration of San Antonio’s beloved Fiesta with its own Viva La Fiesta family-friendly event, bringing the vibrant spirit of the city’s annual festival to life at the park. On weekends and select dates from April 5 through May 4, guests can immerse themselves in festive fun within a theme park setting, enjoy incredible live performances throughout the park, indulge in mouthwatering Fiesta food and experience a variety of rides, all while celebrating the heart of San Antonio’s traditions and creating lasting memories.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas is making Spring Break 2025 the biggest and most exciting yet with thrilling new attractions and an exciting culinary transformation. From March 8 through 17 and March 21 through 23, guests can enjoy an action-packed lineup that includes the largest DC Universe themed area at any amusement park in the United States, the largest Mardi Gras Festival in Texas (through March 16) and a variety of new food experiences, all in one epic celebration.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas recently unveiled their new DC Universe expansion with rethemed attractions and the addition of three new rides. New for DC Universe is Cyborg: Cyber Revolution, the Shazam! Tower of Eternity drop tower and the Metropolis Transit Authority elevated train ride. Theme refreshes are abundant with the debut of Batgirl Coaster Chase, Poison Ivy Toxic Spin and more. This first look takes you into the all-new DC Universe, along with closer looks at stations and on-ride views.
On March 1, Six Flags Fiesta Texas will make history with the grand opening of the largest DC Universe themed area at any amusement park in the United States. This Texas-sized expansion will take guests into the iconic world of DC like never before, where they’ll experience unparalleled thrills, meet legendary DC Super Heroes and DC Super-Villains, and enjoy cutting-edge attractions for fans of all ages.

Running now through mid-March, this year's event features tons of new entertainment offerings, the return of an expanded Mardi Gras Parade and new and returning food and beverage favorites. New Attractions & Park Projects
Now that Fiesta Texas has opened up their DC Universe expansion, much of the focus shifts over to dining experiences. Pete’s Eats recently reopened with a kitchen and serving counter refresh to increase efficiency. The next phase of Sangerfest Halle’s refresh is moving forward. The food hall’s kitchen and serving area are undergoing a full refresh. Once complete, Sangerfest Halle will feature more seating, multiple refill locations and new menu offerings.
Testing goes into full swing for Cyborg: Cyber Revolution and Shazam! Tower of Eternity, two new rides soon to debut in the expanded DC Universe section. Batman: The Ride has reopened with a fresh paint job and Goliath continues its transformation into Chupacabra. Dining upgrades are under way with a major remodel in progress for Pete’s Eats.
Continuing on is the construction of Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ expanded DC Universe area. Metropolis Transit Authority is rapidly taking shape as the queue and station comes to live. Its cars have also been installed on the track. Work also continues on Cyborg: Cyber Revolution with the entrance portal and queue area in progress. Shazam! Tower of Eternity has also begun commissioning.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas is in the home stretch of their DC Universe expansion. The third attraction, Shazam! Tower of Eternity, has gone vertical as work also continues on Metropolis Transit Authority and Cyborg: Cyber Revolution. The surrounding area has also seen a number of dining and retail refreshes. Other park projects include a Hustler refurbishment and a paint refresh of Goliath's track.
The DC Universe expansion area has reopened as Batgirl Coaster Chase and Green Lantern Emerald Flight continue their theming refreshes. Most of the track for Metropolis Transit Authority is now installed, not including the station area and transfer track. Ground work moves forward for the Shazam! Tower of Eternity ride. Other projects include fresh paint for Goliath and a refurbishment of the Hustler ride.
This update features multiple behind-the-scenes looks at construction around Fiesta Texas. The first shipment of new DC Universe ride components has arrived while crews continue to transform the primary construction area with new themed elements and footers. Water slides in Hurricane Harbor are also installed and receiving their final touches before a grand opening.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas saw an unprecedented $30 million expansion for the 1999 season. This included multiple roller coasters, such as Poltergeist, several flat rides and children's rides and the iconic Lone Star Lagoon Texas-shaped wave pool. Six Flags Fiesta Texas officially opened its doors on March 14, 1992 with a small collection of record-breaking attractions, such as The Rattler, and a plethora of world-class live entertainment. Though the 1990s, Fiesta Texas evolved with massive ride and water park expansions, the addition of several marquee roller coasters and even a new themed area. Join us for a trip through the 1990s as we explore the park's opening seasons, along with its acquisition and transformation into a flagship Six Flags park.
After being acquired by Six Flags, Inc. in the 90s, Fiesta Texas underwent several yearly expansions to provide a well-rounded theme park experience. These included the addition of four marquee roller coasters from 1997 to 2000, several children's and flat rides, new waterpark attractions and more. Join us as we navigate the 2000 season and look at the two coasters that never happened.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas heads into their second decade of operation in the 2000s with the addition of the record-breaking Superman Krypton Coaster. Live entertainment was a staple of the park as they'd produce over a dozen shows each season and take home Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Award for "Best Theme Park Shows" on numerous occasions.

Construction continues to move along on Fiesta Texas’ new multi-ride DC Universe expansion. The first attraction, Cyborg: Cyber Revolution, has been installed and is currently in testing. The area as a whole, however, still requires a great deal of work to be completed. Other updates include the new Daily Planet gift shop near Superman Krypton Coaster and other theming enhancement projects.
