Mardi Gras Festival is a themed celebration like no other, exclusively taking place at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. A highlight of the event is the Taste of Mardi Gras food festival, which features a large number of authentic New Orleans food and beverages. Mardi Gras Festival features themed areas, vibrant colors, live entertainment and a large Mardi Gras parade.

Mardi Gras Festival is one of the newest special events to debut at Six Flags theme parks. Originating in the spring of 2017, Mardi Gras Festival first debuted at Six Flags Mexico and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Later in the year, guests at Six Flags St. Louis also had the pleasure of enjoying the festival. Currently, Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the only park to continually offer the special event.

2025 sees the return of the Mardi Gras Parade with a Spectacle of Color twist, featuring five new parade floats and an original music score. The event is rounded out by the return of specialty food and drink, new live entertainment offerings and additional Mardi Gras-themed activities

Entertainment

Mardi Gras Festival fills the park with the spirit of New Orleans through original productions and live jazz music. Shows are free with park admission.

The Big Easy Band

The Big Easy Band heads to Sangerfest Halle Stage, performing classic jazz music inspired by the best of New Orleans and Mardi Gras.
Dansequerade

New for 2025, the streets of Rockville come to life during Mardi Gras Festival with special displays by aerial artists and ribbon dancers.
The Fluer de Lis

New for 2025, The Fleur de Lis features three charismatic ladies that bring the laughs and song melodies outside of Sangerfest Halle.
The GummBeaux

Crackaxle Canyon takes on a new Mardi Gras comedy show, featuring comedy, piano tunes and impressive tap dancing.
King William Brass Band

The King William Brass Band returns to Mardi Gras Festival in 2025. Join the band as they play classic Mardi Gras music and bring fun twists to other popular hits near Pete’s Eats in Rockville.
Mardi Gras Parade: Spectacle of Color

The Mardi Gras Parade returns bigger for 2025 with five new floats, street performers and an original music score. The Mardi Gras Parade travels from Rockville through DC Universe.
Party Gras with the Looney Tunes

Join the Looney Tunes and exciting performers in Teatro Fiesta for a special Mardi Gras celebration they like to call, “Party Gras.”
The VooDoo Dolls

New for 2025, The VooDoo Dolls take over Rockville High to explore the mystical side of Mardi Gras. These performers journey through song and dance with a voodoo twist.

Festival Activities

Fiesta Texas offers multiple Mardi Gras Festival activities that are free with park admission. Enjoy family-friendly interactions with Mardi’s Craft Corner or dare to venture into the returning Houngan House of Voodoo.

The Houngan House of Voodoo

Located in Spassburg, beware of this spooky attraction as a voodoo priest lures curious guests though his cursed French Quarter home. Beware of the conjured spells being brought on by gris-gris, potions and powders.

Mardi's Craft Corner

New for 2025, free activities come to the streets of Rockville, including a large paint by numbers wall and festival-themed art that young guests can take home.
