Zoinks! Time is running out for the Scooby Gang.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas has announced that it will close Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters, a 15-year-old attraction on the Boardwalk, on Jan. 7, the final day of Holiday in the Park.
Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters, which opened in 2002, is like a rolling video game. Passengers aim for high scores as they ride in carts through a haunted mansion, blasting ghosts and other targets with light guns as they go.
According to a statement, "the current location will become the future home to the latest dark ride innovation later in 2018."
"Dark ride" is an amusement park term for attractions where guests are transported through an indoor environment, like Disneyland's It's a Small World.
As always, SFFT Source will post updates regarding the closure and future attractions as they become available.
