Boardwalk Refresh
The current Hurricane Force 5 location has been occupied by two past attractions. The Bayside Paddle Boats resided on Fiesta Bay Boardwalk from 1994 to 1998, opening with the area’s debut. After the addition of Boomerang in Los Festivales, Frisbee was relocated to this area of Fiesta Bay Boardwalk. Frisbee was located in the park between 1998 and 2015. Footers of the former Frisbee attraction can still be seen today.
Hurricane Force 5 officially opened on May 14, 2016 with two other attractions on Fiesta Bay Boardwalk. One unique aspect of Hurricane Force 5 is that guests face outwards, as if they are riding a motorcycle. In an attempt to refresh the area, Fiesta Texas also added Spinsanity and Fireball to their collection of Fiesta Bay Boardwalk attractions.
Hurricane Force 5 debuted at Fiesta Texas during its 2016 season.
