DC Universe Expands for 2024
On top of three new family attractions debuting at Fiesta Texas in 2024, several preexisting rides are also set to undergo huge makeovers. The Thrill Seeker Park children’s section will transform into DC Universe with the announced expansion. All attractions within the area will feature a unique DC Comics character theme. Rambling Road, which has undergone several theme transformations since its addition in 1992, will become The Penguin: Gotham City Getaway.
The Penguin: Gotham City Getaway is located in the park’s DC Universe section.
The attraction was Rambling Road from 2020 to 2023, leaving the Krazy Kars theme behind.
The Penguin: Gotham City Getaway was known as Krazy Kars from 2011 to 2020.
The Penguin: Gotham City Getaway was known as the Big Red Cars in 2009 and 2010.
Theme Changes Aplenty
The Penguin: Gotham City Getaway, originally known as Kinderbahn, opened with Fiesta Texas during its first season in 1992. Younger guests jump aboard their own personal car and take a calming trip down the ride’s winding track. German for “Children’s Train,” Kinderbahn would eventually be rethemed to Big Red Cars in 2009 with the addition of Wiggles World. At the end of 2010, Six Flags terminated the licensing for Wiggles World and this area of the park would be transformed into Kidzopolis. For 2011, with the debut of Kidzopolis, the Big Red Cars were renamed Krazy Kars. In 2020, Fiesta Texas began a large refresh of their children’s area, leaving the Kidzopolis theme behind. Krazy Kars would be upgraded to Rambling Road during this process.
