Important Changes/Updates Heading into the 2018 Season
We had the privilege of attending ACE Winterfest at ZDT's Amusement Park in Seguin, TX on January 20th. Many great updates and changes are coming to Six Flags Fiesta Texas for the 2017 season. Though we have mentioned many of these changes in our recent YouTube videos, here is a full run-down of what is expected heading into the new season:
Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster is set to open at the beginning of March. The queue line area will feature tons of great Roman-style theming, fire, and a storyline of the Wonder Woman character. At the end of the ride's exit will be a gift shop themed to the architectural style of the Rockville area.
Reggie's Funnel Cakes in Rockville will move to the former Cold Stone location. The Reggie's location will then become a Dole stand.
Goliath, the park's inverted steel coaster, will receive a brand new paint job for 2018.
Many great changes are coming to the park's Spassburg section: Amerigoround (likely to be renamed Grand Carousel) is being relocated to the area next to Sangerfest Halle. Tons of theming to restore the area's German heritage will be implemented. Kinderstein, the mini teacups ride, is undergoing refurbishment. Der Pilger Bahnhof, the park's Spassburg train station, will undergo some work to bring it back to the early theming. Spitze's Sweets will undergo a major remodel and be renamed Coaster Candy.
Other repainting projects include Tornado in White Water Bay as well as the Poltergeist roller coaster station in the Rockville section.
Many upgrades to the Bugs' White Water Rapids ride are coming that will allow the attraction to run year-round.
Rockville High School will return to the entertainment line-up and host a spring/summer show (we will know more about the show information in the near future).
Many great things are coming to the park for 2018 and we will provide more updates as they become available.
How do you feel about the outlook for the 2018 season? We would love for you to post a comment below.
