First in the World

Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster is the first RMC Raptor single-rail roller coaster in the world. A second version of the ride, RailBlazer at California's Great America, opened on June 14, 2018. Differences between the two installations include the fact RailBlazer only features two trains instead of three, therefore not using a moving station. The other, and most noticeable difference, is that RailBlazer is a “mirrored” version of the same track layout.

Innovative Loading System

Since each train only carries eight passengers, Six Flags engineered customized technology, creating a continuously-moving station to maximize the ride's throughput. Guests are pre-grouped in the station to ensure safe and efficient loading. The trains never stop in the station, other than for an emergency or technical difficulty. Guests exit the train as it moves into the station and new riders board quickly, helping maximize the ride's capacity.

Ride History

  • 2024

    • At the end of January, Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster closes for phase two of its multi-phase improvement program. During its closure, the ride is repainted with yellow track and red supports. Phase two includes additional control system upgrades and three new second generation trains from RMC.

  • 2023

    • In July, Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster closes to undergo phase one of a multi-phase program intended to improve ride reliability and rider experience. Phase one upgrades include new individual drive motors and tires in the station, a new catwalk at the top of the lift and control system updates. Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster reopens in September with phase two upgrades scheduled for the top of 2024.
