Chupacabra Stands Alone in Clones
This particular ride layout is quite common at several Six Flags parks. In the early 1990s, these B&M Inverted coasters began to pop up and were themed around Batman: The Ride. DC Comics-themed installations include Six Flags Over Texas, Great America, Magic Mountain, Great Adventure, St. Louis and Six Flags Over Georgia. The ride is so common that three of them exist in the state of Texas. What make's Fiesta's model unique? It is a "mirrored" version of the ride and does not carry the Batman: The Ride theme.
Chupacabra, then known as Goliath, was introduced at Fiesta Texas in 2008.
Chupacabra is located near the park’s main entrance.
Chupacabra’s most unique feature is that its layout is a mirror of most installations.
Chupacabra features five high-thrill inversions.
Chupacabra is an inverted steel roller coaster.
Chupacabra reaches a top speed of 50 miles per hour.

Ride Relocations
Did you know that Chupacabra wasn’t originally built for Fiesta Texas? Chupacabra had two homes prior to being installed at the park. From 2003 to 2005, the attraction operated at Six Flags New Orleans as Batman: The Ride. The coaster, however, was originally constructed for Thrill Valley in Japan. Known as Gambit, the attraction called Thrill Valley home from 1995 to 2002. Unfortunately, Hurricane Katrina destroyed Six Flags New Orleans in 2005. When Six Flags had no plans to reopen the park, it began to relocate several rides that were still deemed operational. Chupacabra was standing, but not operating, at Six Flags New Orleans from August 2005 until March 2007 prior to being transported to Fiesta Texas.
Chupacabra stands 105 feet tall.

Goliath receives a paint job during the off-season with blue track with yellow supports.
2008
Goliath is transported from the defunct Six Flags New Orleans and relocated to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
