The Joker Wild Card & Whirligig (Update 2), Shopping Changes
Important Update
Fiesta Texas has announced a “change in plans.” Whirligig will no longer be named Crime Wave when it returns to the park after refurbishment. A new name is yet to be announced!
Whirligig seats still sit within the ride’s perimeter.
Most of Whirligig has been removed from the ride’s perimeter.
The area that will be home to The Joker Wild Card is completely clear. Crews will likely begin the early steps of construction soon.

Whirligig’s top frame sits in a grassy area near Batman: The Ride.
The Jelly Belly on Fiesta Bay Boardwalk has been completely gutted. It appears that a new shop will be coming soon.
Spitze’s Sweets, located in Spassburg, has also been gutted.
We anticipate this shop to be the future home of Coaster Candy. Coaster Candy was originally scheduled for the 2018 season.

Construction continues to move along on Fiesta Texas’ new multi-ride DC Universe expansion. The first attraction, Cyborg: Cyber Revolution, has been installed and is currently in testing. The area as a whole, however, still requires a great deal of work to be completed. Other updates include the new Daily Planet gift shop near Superman Krypton Coaster and other theming enhancement projects.
